The Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) now has new heads. Rodrigo Buenaventura and Montserrat Martínez were sworn in yesterday as Chairman and Vice-Chairwoman, respectively. The event was held at the CNMV’s headquarters and it was presided over by the Third Vice-President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño.
The changeover came after their official appointment by the Council of Ministers last Tuesday and the publication of the corresponding decrees in the Spanish Official State Gazette (BOE) (1 and 2).
The event was held in a format adapted to the necessary health safety measures as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, with a reduced audience, and could be followed via the Internet on the CNMV’s YouTube channel.
Sebastian Albella and Ana Martinez-Pina also participated.
