Financial Education Day 2018 was held on 1 October past. It is an initiative promoted as part of the Financial Education Plan (PEF) by the Bank of Spain and the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) to which 29 institutions and entities have signed up. The main ceremony, which took place at the CNMV headquarters, was attended by CNMV’s Chairman, Sebastián Albella, the Governor of the Bank of Spain, Pablo Hernández de Cos, the Secretary for Education and Vocational Training, Alejandro Tíana, and the Secretary of State for the Economy and Business Support, Ana de la Cueva.
Before the ceremony, two schools participated in the final of the Financial Literacy Competition. In addition, the winners of the third edition of the Finance for All Award won the awards for the best financial education initiatives in our country.
