Today Financial Education Day is being celebrated. In this fifth edition, numerous events and activities have been organised throughout the country. The activities are very diverse, ranging from workshops and conferences, games and contests, to investor education campaigns. Some of these activities will continue throughout the remainder of the year.

The activities carried out around this Day include those aimed at training a group of people with disability through the ONCE Foundation. Courses have been given on saving, budgeting and responsible consumption, both at the CNMV and at different branches of the Bank of Spain.

In addition, on 29 September, the charity run for financial education and inclusion took place. This event was organised by the ONCE Foundation and ASNEF, with the collaboration of the Financial Education Plan (the CNMV and the Bank of Spain).

For its part, IOSCO has celebrated the 2019 World Investor Week to promote investor protection and education. The third edition was launched with the ringing of the bell for financial education at the Madrid Stock Exchange, in which the CNMV Commissioner, Angel Benito, participated.
