On 29 June, the CNMV Chairman, Rodrigo Buenaventura, appeared before the Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation Commission of the Spanish Parliament to present the 2020 Annual Report of the institution.

In addition to summarising the evolution of markets in 2020, whose performance was marked by the crisis caused by the pandemic, he highlighted the CNMV’s most relevant actions and mentioned the challenges faced by the institution.

The 2020 Annual Report contains the activities carried out by the CNMV in the different areas of action, including most notably the authorisation and supervision of entities, the supervision of markets and disciplinary proceedings. It includes 28 exhibits that detail aspects of interest developed during the year.

It also details the main milestones of the organisational and institutional activity, and for the third consecutive year, publishes the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
