During the week from 21 to 25 March, the CNMV participated in the Global Money Week, an initiative promoted by the OECD aimed at financially educating young people worldwide. Under the slogan “Construct your future, be intelligent with your money”, the GMW celebrated its 10th edition.

To mark the occasion, on 24 March, the CNMV gave a lecture at the CNMV headquarters in Barcelona to 21 students of a higher level diploma in Economics and Finance from the Sagrado Corazón school in Sarriá. The lecture was related to what the CNMV is, its key functions, what the securities markets and their participants are, as well as the main investment products. Information was also given on the financial education tools that the CNMV has made available on its website: www.cnmv.es for citizens, and those available on the website: www.finanzasparatodos.es. Other topical issues such as crypto-assets and their risks were also discussed.
