The Chairman of the CNMV, Rodrigo Buenaventura, opened the event together with the Chairwoman of the IEA, Lola Solana. In his intervention, the Chairman went over current issues as important as the role of social networks in the analyses by companies, reminding of the fact that influencers should fulfil certain minimum requirements when making recommendations.
Javier Ruiz, Director of the Secondary Market Department of the CNMV, presented the conclusions of the CNMV’s supervision of the recommendations of analysts and took part in the discussion group regarding the current challenges to the analysis.
On his part, Eduardo Manso, Director of the Financial and Corporate Reporting Department of the CNMV, explained the criteria of the supervisor regarding alternative performance measures (APMs) and participated in the discussion group on how to explain APMs without confusing investors.
