More than 50 professionals started their careers at the CNMV on May 19, concluding the incorporation of the 81 individuals who passed the institution’s largest public recruitment process since its founding. These newly appointed staff members will work in market and financial entities’ supervision.

They were welcomed by the Vice-Chair, Paloma Marín, on their first day on site. During the welcome session, an overview of the Onboarding Manual was carried out and new employees were introduced to teams and managers.

New employees of other specialities (Internal and Digital Communication, Information Systems, Human Resources, Cybersecurity and Technological Risk Supervision, Service Management, Property and Environmental Sustainability) had started their work in previous months.

The total number of new hires represents a renewal of close to 18% of the workforce.

The majority of positions to be filled will be dedicated to addressing the new competencies that the CNMV is already taking on, such as the entry into force of European regulations on crypto-assets (MiCA), cybersecurity (DORA), or new regulations on sustainability.

The recruitment process will go on through 2025, as a result of the new employment offers, which includes a total of 36 new positions.

Said calls for applications are part of the reinforcement process related to human resources that the CNMV has launched to guarantee the excellence levels currently required for the supervision and regulation of financial markets.
