The Chairman of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CMMV) appeared before the Economics, Trade and Digital Transformation Commission of the Spanish Parliament on 28 May to present the authority’s Annual Report for 2025.

During his appearance, Carlos San Basilio reviewed the CNMV’s activities throughout 2025, and outlined the evolution of financial markets. The Chairman also reported on the authority’s recent actions and addressed other current matters under its jurisdiction. San Basilio further analysed the current market environment, as well as the challenges and risks facing financial markets over the course of the year.
