At its head-office in Madrid, the CNMV hosted the conference entitled “Working Towards More Sustainable Finance”, an initiative promoted to facilitate the dissemination of the recent regulatory developments within the scope of sustainable finance.
The closing speech of the conference was given by Nadia Calviño, the First Vice-President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, and the CNMV’s Chairman, Rodrigo Buenaventura.
Opened by the CNMV’s Vice-Chair, Montserrat Martínez Parera, the event explained the main regulatory changes by means of three panels moderated by the CNMV:
- The routes of decarbonisation and taxonomy, the two pillars of the European strategy.
- The Future Sustainability Reporting Framework;
- Working Towards More Sustainable Portfolios and Funds.
With this event the CNMV also seeks to reinforce the contacts with the industry, aiming to establish a dialogue which enables the implementation of the new regulatory framework while, in turn, facilitating supervision tasks throughout all related aspects.
