Sebastián Albella, the CNMV’s Chairman, has recently published three opinion articles in which he addresses current issues for the financial sector, both at national and international levels.
Firstly, in the article entitled “In favour of a more stock-exchange based economy” which was published by El País, he analyses the advantages of being listed on the markets and the reasons for the recent development in IPOs.
Secondly, El Economista has published an article entitled “Shareholders, the focal point” in which Sebastián Albella reflects on companies’ priorities, an issue discussed in the past few months in the sphere of international finance.
Finally, in the article entitled “Collective investment: neither banking nor in the shadow” which has been published by Expansión, the CNMV’s Chairman focuses on the regulatory and supervisory approach for collective investment versus the banking activity, in the context of financial stability and the relevance of non-bank financial intermediation (NBFI) and shadow banking.
