The CNMV has held several events and participated in different actions in relation to Global Money Week 2024, held between 18 and 24 March under the subject “Protect your money, guarantee your future“.
In Barcelona
The branch of the CNMV in Barcelona hosted, on 19 March, students from two schools: Escola Ipse and Politècnics, joined by Institut d’Estudis Financers, to discuss how to avoid financial scams and fraud.



In Bilbao
On 20 March, the Bilbao stock exchange, the Spanish Stock Exchanges and Markets and the CNMV welcomed 96 students from the Artaza Romo BHI secondary school in Getxo, the San Pelayo school in Ermua and the Zapatón secondary school in Torrelavega.


In Madrid
On 19, 20 and 21 March, the “4º ESO+empresa” programme was conducted at the CNMV’s headquarters, in which 20 students from various educational institutions participated. This programme, which is the sixth edition in which the CNMV participates, aims to bring students closer to the labour market by means of work placements in companies and institutions in order to create a general overview of the activities carried out, to give talks on financial education and, ultimately, help in the decision-making process for their academic and professional future. 25 volunteers from the CNMV’s volunteering programme collaborated with the development of such initiative.



In Plasencia
The Deputy Director of Financial Education, Gloria Caballero, participated, on 18 March, in a conference/workshop on financial scams at the Santísima Trinidad school. Please see:
