Within the framework of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP25) held in Madrid, the Spanish National Securities Market Commission organised on Monday, 9 December, as part of the “sustainable finance day”, a round table discussion entitled “Sustainable finance: interaction between regulators and securities markets/investment firms”. The event was moderated by Ana Martínez-Pina, the CNMV’s Vice-Chair, and Gabriela Figueiredo, Chair of CMVM Portugal, Elisabeth Roegele, Chief Executive Director of Bafin Germany and Kevin Cowan, CMF Chile Commissioner, also participated in the event.

Coinciding with the COP25 conference, a quick Guide on sustainable finance has been published. It is a short document explaining how environmental, social and governance factors are key for sustainable finance.

We remind you that in order to respond to the increasing demand for information on this issue, the CNMV has included on its website a new section on sustainable finance.
