The medals of the 2019 “Patrón” awards, organised by the Spanish National Police, were granted on 4 October. On this occasion, the institution distinguished two members of the CNMV with the white Cross of Police Merit for the outstanding performance of their functions: Carlos Sánchez-Vilar, Head of the Market Surveillance Unit, and Jesualdo Domínguez-Alcahud, Head of the Investor Service Department.
The CNMV and the Directorate-General of the Police signed a collaboration agreement on 13 March 2019 to combat financial fraud, in particular that related to persons and entities not authorised to provide investment services. Jesualdo Domínguez-Alcahud is a member of the Monitoring Committee that coordinates both institutions in the fight against illegal activities conducted in this sector.
