The second annual Antonio Moreno “Espejo de Periodismo” journalism prize was awarded at the CNMV headquarters on 2 February past.

The CNMV chairman, Sebastián Albella, presented the award to Ana Palomares for her article “Cómo podemos los padres enseñar finanzas a los hijos” (“How can we parents teach our children about finance”), published in El Economista. The president of the jury and CNMV commissioner, Ángel Benito, along with Antonio Moreno’s son, Manuel Moreno, also participated in the event.

128 articles published in 23 different media were entered into or selected on a preliminary basis for this second edition of the award.

CNMV created this award in memory of Antonio Moreno Espejo, who was a member of the institution’s staff from its inception in the late eighties until his untimely death in January 2017.
