The Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has released a Q&A document related to the Code of good practice for investors (Code of good practice for institutional investors, asset managers and proxy advisors in relation to their duties regarding conferred assets or services provided), published the past month of February
The document responds to the consultations received by the corresponding sector and includes the most relevant issues for the different entities that could adhere to the Code, along with criteria that the CNMV considers most appropriate for its correct interpretation.
The Code is of voluntary compliance and the Q&A document is not regulatory. It is made up of 15 questions, two of them are general and the remaining refer to the seven principles of the Code.
The CNMV shall update said Q&A document when issues and relevant questions for the companies covered by the Code arise.
