The president of the CNMV, Rodrigo Buenaventura, spoke on June 21 at the Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation Committee of the Parliament, to present the institution’s Annual Report for the 2021 financial year.

In addition to summarizing the evolution of the markets in 2021, he highlighted the most relevant actions of the CNMV and pointed out the challenges facing the institution.

The 2021 Annual Report includes the activity carried out by the CNMV in the different areas of action, including the authorization and supervision of entities, market supervision and disciplinary actions, as well as the resolution of entities and financial stability. 

The initiatives carried out aimed at protecting the investor are also explained and special attention is devoted to the evolution of the sector in light of the regulations on sustainable finance, among other current issues.

In addition, the Annual Report details the main milestones of organizational and institutional activity and, for the fourth consecutive year, performance indicators (Key Performance Indicators, KPIs) are published.
