Google announced that it is starting to apply measures in Spain to reduce the advertising of potential financial fraud on its platforms, such as its browser or YouTube. The CNMV considers this decision to be positive and thanks Google for its willingness to collaborate in reducing the spread of attempts to defraud investors.

These measures were proposed to the Internet and social network technology companies in the talks held in the past few months, within the framework of the Action Plan against Financial Fraud. The CNMV reiterates its request to any other social network companies for them to apply on their platforms tools or procedures that may hinder or remove the publication and propagation of fraud, fraud whose sole victims will be their clients and followers.
