On Monday, 5 October, we celebrated Financial Education Day. The main event was held at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace, under this year’s theme: “Save, Invest, Move Forward”.

Notable initiatives organised as part of the event included:

  • The Financial Education Competition final:
  • In the youth category, the winner was IES Río Cabe in Monforte de Lemos, Lugo, with Colegio Santa Teresa de Jesús in Ourense coming in as the runner-up.
    • In the cadet category, the winner was Colegio Obradoiro and the runner-up was CPI Alcalde Xosé Pichel in San Roque, with both schools located in the province of A Coruña.
  • This year’s Finance For All Awards, which went to Pablo Gil and the Observatory of European Systems of Complementary Social Pension Plans.

The day featured a discussion between CNMV Chairman Carlos San Basilio and Banco de España Governor José Luis Escrivá. It was moderated by the journalist Rebeca Gimeno, who hosted the entire event.
